This year, your dining furniture is dressing up for the party too.

You’ve thought of the food, the drinks, and who could forget the candy! But, have you remembered to set the scene? The right decor is sure to elevate any Halloween party and is a true game-changer when it comes to spicing up your spooky festivities. Regardless of your personal style, there is Halloween decor to suit each and every taste. Whether you prefer to take a more minimalistic approach, or you like to go all out - we have you covered with tons of inspiration.

Step 1: Establish the Colour Scheme

The best place to start when initiating any decor project is to decide on an intentional colour palette for the space you want to decorate. Depending on the style you are going for, you could choose to go with traditional Halloween colours such as orange, purple, and black or you could keep it seasonal with warm fall tones like red, brown, and orange. Alternatively, a ghostly black and white theme would also be quite fitting for the occasion. Ultimately, you can get creative with it and choose what suits your space best - just make sure it all ties together to create the mood of your dreams… Or your nightmares.

In this setup, we chose to dress our black Canadian Dark Oak Transformer Table in an orange, black, and grey colour palette. Our matching Transformer Chairs complete the look by bringing more light into the more gloomy table setting.

Step 2: Pick Your Tableware & Centrepiece

You’ll never run out of inspiration when it comes to setting up your ideal Halloween tablescape. You can go the festive route and implement some traditional symbols, for instance, skulls and skeletons, bats and black cats, spiders, and crows. Think spider webs as a table runner and eerie decor pieces - you’ll be sure to have a spooktacular focal point for your gathering. If that’s not your cup of potion, you can also go the opposite direction for a more natural and minimalistic design - sometimes, less is more. Classic fall elements - for example, dry flowers, straw, branch wreaths, fresh gourds & squash, and more - are all great options for a less spooky, more classy tabletop.

We’re all about multifunctionality here at Transformer Table - an edible centrepiece     is simply brilliant!

Having a black cat always helps, but don’t fret - there are tons of other chilling possibilities for your Halloween decor.

Step 3: Set the Tone With Some Candles

When you think of Halloween, you definitely don’t think of bright lighting - unless we’re talking strobe lights, of course. Create the perfect ambiance for your guests with a dim-lit candlelight ambiance fit for your moody soiree. You can choose ones that fit within your colour scheme and pick the style you like best. Whether pillars, votives, tapers, or even tea lights best suit your vibe, we guarantee they will transform your tablescape for the better. Nothing screams Halloween quite like a bunch of candles that are dripping wax, too!

Step 4: Add Some Pumpkins to the Mix

It can’t possibly be Halloween without at least one pumpkin lurking around! The good news is, there are sure to be pumpkin options to satisfy your tastes irregardless of your interior design preferences. There truly are many clever ways to incorporate pumpkins into your festive decor without carving a traditional jack-o-lantern, as fun as they are to DIY in their own right. This year, we can’t help but notice that boho pumpkins have been trending, and we totally get why they are all the rage. Unconventional pumpkin decorations made of all sorts of materials, namely ceramic, fabric, knits, wool, or even macrame have been popping up on everyone’s dining tables this season.

In this tablescape, we chose to use a variety of different materials for our pumpkin decorations to add more depth to the arrangement. Carved pumpkins are fun, but boho Halloween decor adds a level of chic that can really elevate the look of your tablescape.
