Trust the process
There were some delays in receiving our dining table and bench, but trust me when I say the wait is more than worth it. The quality is unmatched, the wood is sturdy, and the way it works is aboslutely mind blowing. Sliding it open and closed again is effortless and my kids (7 and 10) love to be the ones to do it. I cannot recommend Transformer Table enough, and their staff have been nothing but sweet and helpful. I'm excited to get the couch next!
Get the coffee table!!!
I got the table and the benches during the black friday promotion and it's finally here! It's beyond glorious and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I got the grey, it's a great color and suprisingly easy to clean. My only regret: not getting the coffee table. Please do yourself a favor and get that when you place your order. Trust me, you think you don't need it but now I wish I had it.
Beautiful wood grain
I was eyeing these for sucha long time. I ended up getting the Acacia finish and I'm so glad I did. In my opinion, this finish beats all the others for its stunning natural beauty and grain variation. I'm a hardwood furniture enthusiast (all my furniture is hardwood) and this stuff is the real deal. I highly recommend it if you want to bring some light into your dining room!
I'm over the moon with this thing!
I saw a Facebook ad a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love and had to have it. The shipping took a bit longer than I expected but I guess that's normal when you're getting a huge chunk of furniture! Overall I have to say I'm super impressed with the quality and workmanship. It's real wood and quite heavy, yet easy to slide open. I'm just beating myself up for not getting the benches, but I will do that as soon as I have the funds.
Ugh! I wanna love this thing ... limited booster seat fit and chair choices due to Botero-esque design aesthetic
I'll start with the ... not ideal - measurements that are for me unfortunate and I'd wish I'd asked for before purchase of something this expensive, which hopefully benefits someone:
With 2 extension panels - our ideal everyday length - the length of the opening on the sides of the table is only 41" due to the incredible table leg girth (8 15/16"), but worse are the height of the openings at the ends of the table at only 25 3/4" due to the same aesthetic (the side openings are 27 3/4" high to bottom of the table). Most chairs I'm interested in have a total at-the-floor leg width between 21-22" and have arms which are 27" high. This means 2 chairs - of the kind I really want - won't fit on the sides with 2 panels - the legs will at best fight - so get over it and buy different chairs, fine, but worse is a standard booster seat and/or chairs with arms will never fit under the ends of the table; and that's a bit frustrating. Frustrating enough I'd considered returning the table but for the nightmare that it probably is - this thing arrived on a pallet! - and like I said I really want to love it.
The booster seat at the end of the table is just something personal that we're stubborn to give up because we, but more importantly our little one loves it! And yes, it's solvable, but annoying to need to and perhaps not ideal.
Obviously we can add a third panel to accommodate the chairs we want - and feel like we're dinning in an empty conference room - or just get different chairs,…
